“My Christmas present in December of 2017 was a diagnosis of stage 4 Classical Hodgkin's Lymphoma, with a 7 cm tumor in my lung. I had just turned 40 and had a husband and five pre-teens and teenagers.
“While this was a great shock, I began to look to God for comfort and healing, and we encouraged our family to do the same. We made a conscious decision not to fear, and the battle was on. I was to have six months (twelve treatments) of chemotherapy, with a likely possibility of radiation when that ended.
“I was very weak and sick before my treatment even started, and the Doctor was concerned that I would not be strong enough to endure them all. We began to pray that the Chemotherapy would go straight to its target and that side effects would be minimal.
“I experienced many dark moments during that time. I lost more weight, getting down to 95 lb. I was strengthened by the love and scriptural encouragement shown to me at that time and I looked to God for healing. It gradually became real to me that God truly is a healer, that He took stripes on His back the day He went to Calvary for my healing. I began to believe His promises, and I began to even look for a supernatural intervention. The Lord graciously heard my prayer and that of His people who were praying for me. After I had completed just four chemotherapy treatments, I had a PET Scan to determine if the Chemotherapy was beginning to work. To the astonishment of the Doctor, all traces of cancer were gone, including the 7 cm tumor in my lung. Over four years later, I am still giving glory to God for his wonderful healing touch, and for sparing me the rest of my treatments.
“This is just a brief summary of what happened. The complete story is so dramatic that it is in no need of embellishment to grip your heart. My life has been forever changed by this personal encounter with a Living God. “I believe it will encourage you to a deeper expectation of how God can move in your life.”
“My name is Anndrea Grant and I live in Lynden, Washington. I want to give this testimony for the glory of God and to testify that He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
“Around the end of April 2022, I caught a head cold and developed a bad cough. After coughing hard for several days, I started to experience pain on my left side. I had an x-ray which showed a suspicious spot on my left lower rib, so I was immediately sent to my oncologist for further evaluation due to my history of breast cancer. The Lord had miraculously healed me of breast cancer in 2016 and I have been healthy and normal ever since. Even though I was facing another trial of my faith, I was holding on to all that the Lord had done for me and believing that He is “the same yesterday, today and forever” Hebrews 13:8.
“The next day I was in a store and there was a desk calendar on the counter. It was a daily Bible verse desk calendar flipped open to this scripture: “I am the Lord, who heals you.” Exodus 15:26. I knew this was God speaking directly to me! I was so startled that I physically felt myself jump and I started crying right there in the store. It was so striking and unusual to see a desk calendar with Bible verses on a storekeeper’s desk, and for it to be flipped over to a verse about healing when it was so much on my mind.
Later that evening, I went to church for our Wednesday night service. I went up for prayer and at the end of his prayer, my pastor told me to “just go thanking the Lord for it now.” I started thanking the Lord out loud right then. Immediately I felt the presence of the Lord almost like He was standing directly in front of me, and I felt that He came in that moment to hear my praise and thanksgiving for my healing.
At the appointment with my oncologist, she told me it was very probable that the lesion was a recurrence of my previous breast cancer, which would be metastatic breast cancer. She said she would need a biopsy to confirm this diagnosis, but I would have to have a CT scan first to know where to biopsy. Before my CT scan was done, one of my daily devotions used this scripture:
“Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; and make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.” Hebrews 12:12-13.
“My CT scan test results showed multiple suspicious spots in my ribs and also my spine. The largest of the spots was 2.5cm in my spine and they wanted to schedule a biopsy of this area right away. They also wanted me to get a nuclear medicine bone scan to confirm the CT findings. I had the bone scan on Friday, July 1st. The morning of my bone scan my devotion was about God being victorious in battle and used this scripture: “Having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” (Colossians 2:15) The devotion went on to say: “Our triumph has already been won by our Leader Jesus Christ, but we must identify ourselves with His victory. Stand your ground in the day of battle, and having fought to the end, remain victors on the field!”
“That evening, after the bone scan was over, our nightly devotion was along the same lines: “Because the hand of Amalek is against the throne of the LORD.” (Exodus. 17:16) “In the midst of the throne . . . a Lamb as it had been slain.” Revelations 5:6. “Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down.” (Psalms 17:13)
“The next day, we got the test results back from the bone scan: AND THE 2.5 CM LESION WAS GONE!!!!!!!
Bone scan—the spot is gone.
“It had completely disappeared! The nuclear medicine bone scan images showed the absence of any lesions in my spine. Because of these test results, my oncologist told me to cancel the bone biopsy because there was nothing to biopsy anymore!
“The Lamb that was slain is now the Mighty Conqueror over death, hell, the grave and cancer!!!! It is a finished work of Calvary and I know I am completely healed from metastatic breast cancer. I pray that all who hear this testimony will know that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever!” (Hebrews 13:8)”
Beth was only 8 years old when she was stricken with the deadly form of leukemia known as "Philadelphia positive.” There is no known cure.
Beth went to the hospital for tests after feeling sick and not getting better, and it was discovered that her red blood cell count was at 3.5. A normal count would be 12 to 13, and the doctors told her father that this was the first time they had seen a number of less than 4 on a living person. The tests also revealed that 97% of the cells in her bone marrow were cancerous and that 56% of the cells in her blood stream were cancerous as well. With these staggering numbers, the doctors could not understand why she was still alive. Beth's heart rate was 185 bpm, with accompanying high blood pressure. The doctors thought Beth might have days or weeks to live. In the 419 cases of this disease, studies gave her a 0% chance of survival.
Beth's family and church began to pray for Beth. What followed was 3 years of very extensive chemotherapy. During this time, Beth was undergoing many painful tests and procedures including a lumber puncture test every 2 weeks. Beth would make shrilling screams every time this test was performed because of the pain it caused.
The heavy doses of chemotherapy caused Beth to lose her hair many times. It is not uncommon for the hair to grow back a different color and texture—if it grows back at all. But Beth's prayer was that her hair would remain the same.
After the first 6 months of treatment, Beth's cancer went into remission for 3 years and the chemotherapy treatments were stopped. But 9 months after that, Beth's cancer was back with the same devastating numbers she had at the beginning: 97% of the cells in her bone marrow were cancerous as well as 56% of her blood cells. Zero progress had been made.
Over the next three years, Beth hovered near death. There were many times when Beth's family did not know from day to day if Beth would continue to live. Many times, she was carried to the hospital in the middle of the night by her father, her limp body ravaged by high fever. The only suggestion the doctors had was a bone marrow transplant, a long-shot idea that was impossible on many counts. No one in the family was a match for a transplant. The odds of finding a match was 1 in 100,000 and then that person had to be healthy and willing to be a donor. Even then, the transplant would very likely not take.
Miraculously, a donor was found 5,000 miles away that was a match, who was healthy and willing to be a donor. The transplant procedure was performed, but would it take? They would know in three days, for that is the longest the cells would survive. For 10 straight days, Beth’s white blood cell count remained at zero. Nothing was happening, all hope was gone, and death was imminent.
Then, one night, Jesus came into the room. Beth actually saw him, physically. Beth describes it as a hazy white heavy atmosphere that made it difficult to move or talk. This presence was so full of love and peace. She became aware that someone was walking at the end of the bed, and He came around the side of the bed to stand on the opposite side of the bed from where her mother was sitting. Beth knew it was the Lord Jesus. He put his arm around her shoulders, and Beth could feel herself sitting up. The Lord took her hand and was smiling.
The next day, miraculously, Beth's white blood cell count began to rise! The doctors had said it would take 6 months for Beth's numbers to go back to normal. Not this time. After 3 more days, Beth was doing so well, she was released from the hospital, and a swift and full recovery followed.
Normally a person enduring all of this would have ongoing health problems, but Beth has had none of those. Beth is a healthy and thriving young woman today, an assistant elementary school teacher with beautiful brown curly hair!
Today, there are some clinical trial treatments that are showing promise of treating Philadelphia Positive. But when Beth recovered, she was the ONLY KNOWN CASE in the world who had survived it.
Beth’s whole story can be viewed on YouTube: The Beth Dingwall Miracle (https://bit.ly/3bv3dXg).
Beth Dingwall Today
In 2021, my wife Debbie and I were living in Spanaway, Washington, USA, and had lived there for about 25 years. We had been searching for a good church to go to but couldn’t find anything to suit us. Debbie was blessed and connected with a family who were message believers living in Auburn, Washington, USA. We started having services at their house and fellowshipping with them on a regular basis.
After a couple years they informed us that they would soon be moving to Oklahoma, USA. It was a shock to think that we were losing our friends, and the only fellowship and services we had near our area. We were warned to be on guard for the wolves that were gathering, and Satan preparing to attack us once we were alone.
Debbie: Satan didn’t waste any time carrying out his attacks on us! He started even before our friends left.
I was at work, in home healthcare, and one day I began to feel different. I did not know what it was; I just knew that something wasn’t right. My thoughts went to the possibility of it being a hormonal issue, so I went to see a Gynecologist.
At the Gynecologist's office they ran some tests to see if I had any cysts, etc. on my ovaries or female parts. The tests showed that there was something small, but “nothing to worry about ''.
The strange feelings and sickness were not going away. I decided to go see my regular doctor but was unable to get in, so I went to the ER instead. At the ER the doctor saw something and ordered for more tests and a pet-scan to determine if it was cancer or not. Sure enough, it was cancer. From there, I had to see an Oncologist. I was scared and had no idea how to process all of this. My husband Billy went with me, and I was very grateful for that.
Billy: Shortly after Debbie started seeing the Oncologist, I started having severe pain in my mouth. I scheduled a dental appointment because one of my rear molars had broken, and I thought it was cutting my tongue and causing a big sore spot on the side of my tongue. I had him file down the jagged edges of the tooth thinking that would take care of it. Unfortunately, I had to return in a couple of days and asked the dentist to re-file my tooth since the first time it didn't work.
My dentist took a closer look at my mouth and informed me he wanted to take a biopsy of my tongue to get a second opinion.
I told him, if he needed a second opinion he must have a first opinion, and I asked him what it was. He said he wouldn’t talk about it till he got the test results back. He took a biopsy and sent it off to the University of Washington for testing.
In my heart I already knew what he was saying. Three days later I received a call, while at work, and it was the University of Washington calling to confirm that my test results had been positive for cancer, and they would need to get me in for surgery right away. This really shook my world up! I had just found out that Debbie had cancer, and now me!
I went home from work right after finding out about my cancer diagnosis and told Debbie about it. We both began our visits to the Oncologists. Debbie going to MultiCare Regional Cancer Center, and myself going to the University of Washington. We both knew that whatever lies ahead for us, we were going to be there for each other!
Together we went in for Debbie’s scheduled surgery and had been praying that God would be with her, and He absolutely was. She came through just fine, which was a miracle within itself!! They were able to remove the tumor and she had to have a complete hysterectomy. After the surgery, the Nurse Practitioner told us that it truly was a miracle that Debbie made it through the surgery. She said that the tumor had glued itself to her aorta and because of the location, and type of tumor she should have bled out during the surgery. She came through just fine, Praise God!!
My surgery was scheduled for two weeks after Debbie had her surgery. We took turns caring for each other and administering pain medications, etc. I drove Debbie to her follow-up appointments and then she did the same for me. God blessed both of us in having the very best surgeons in the field for the different types of cancer that we each had.
After my surgery and meeting with the doctor, it was not necessary for me to have further treatments, but at Debbie’s 6-week follow-up, the doctor said that they wanted her to do chemo just to “make sure nothing would return.” She was uncertain and said that she would have to get back with them. Meanwhile the office would call her daily.
Within less than a week, another office called and said that they needed to get her set up with radiation. They claimed she didn’t need chemo, but probably one or two “good zaps” of radiation would do the trick, but they’d know more for sure once they got started.
Debbie felt even more uncertain than ever and told them to give her a little time. They said that they needed an answer right away because they needed to get the treatment started right away. We were going through a lot, and now we were being bombarded by groups of doctors who couldn’t even agree on what treatment they thought she needed. But we were relying on the treatment that we knew she needed, which was a healing touch from the Lord our God!
Meanwhile, we were both fervently praying, reading from the Bible, reading from William Branham’s booklet, “Healing Thoughts”, from which Debbie felt that the Lord absolutely spoke to her.
We had written scriptures of healing on post-it notes and stuck them around the house where we would see them every day. The bible verse that always spoke to me during this time was:
Hebrews 13:8 KJV - Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
I came home from work one day and she said, “Honey, I’ve decided that I’m not going to do any chemo or radiation. The Lord has healed me, I believe it, it was done at Calvary! Besides, the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing! I don’t believe that I need either treatment!” Of course, the doctors advised against it, but it was her choice.
God saw to it that I had a world-renowned doctor who was a professor, teacher, and surgeon in the field of facial and head surgery. She went in through my throat to remove all my glands, over half of my tongue, and a large tumor that was in my tongue which had worked its way into my mouth.
To this day we are both cancer free and have no side effects except our faith has been strengthened in the mighty healing power of Jesus.
We are standing on the Word of God, which tells us that we were healed at Calvary!! God said when He named Jesus that His name would be the name above ALL names and there would be none above His name, nor equal to His name! Praise God! That includes the name of cancer, depression, diabetes, arthritis and any other disease or tactic that Satan may choose to use against you! Claim your healing and receive it. And by the way, Satan too is just a name, which means he too must cower at the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is our Healer, Deliverer, Strong Tower and Savior!!
My ordeal began in March 2022. We lived in Tennessee, USA and took a family road trip to see the replica of Noah’s Ark in Kentucky, USA. While in Kentucky I began to feel very weak and feverish. I also broke out in a rash that covered nearly 80% of my body causing constant itching all over, with no relief. I have a history with psoriasis going back 18 years, but this felt different.
On the trip home to Tennessee, my daughter needed to drive as I was unable to and once we made it home, I ended up going to the emergency room. My skin felt very hot to the touch, and it looked as though I had literally been boiled in oil. At the ER the doctors were baffled at my case and could not figure out what was causing this condition. They ended up sending me home, but two days later I was back in the ER. This time they admitted me into the hospital. I was in for about four days and during my stay, my symptoms worsened.
The doctors ran many tests including an ultrasound which led a cancer doctor to request an MRI. The MRI showed cirrhosis of the liver with a 10-centimeter mass. While still in the hospital, I met with a cancer doctor. He was very honest with me and up front. He told me there was no hope of medical treatment for my condition and unfortunately, due to my condition, I would not qualify for liver transplant or surgery.
The cancer doctor suggested immunotherapy, which rarely helps. At this time, I was 68 years of age and the older you are the less likely the treatment will help. I was also informed this treatment may cause my skin condition to worsen.
During my hospital stay, the skin all over my body began to rapidly shed. It was shedding faster than my body was able to regenerate. The appearance of the sheds was like little snowflakes and the skin on my body became so thin I could slice it with a fingernail. Then my blood balance went out of order, and I became sepsis. They treated me for this but when I left the hospital, I was still in sepsis. I was now fighting for my life on three fronts: acute plaque psoriasis, cirrhosis of the liver with a 10-centimeter mass and sepsis.
Shortly after, my wife Sherry and I prayed and decided to trust God for my healing. Sherry, led by the Lord, started to do some research and found a regiment of herbs that could possibly help my condition. I started to take the herbs and did begin to feel a little better but was very weak still.
My family also started to put out prayer requests and saints around the USA started praying for me. The sepsis condition cleared up on its own over the next two weeks. Shortly after my hospital stay, I was able to see my family doctor. He was not happy the hospital released me with sepsis. He ended up diagnosing the skin issue as a full-blown case of plaque psoriasis and told us this was incredibly rare. He stated he had only seen this in medical textbooks and began treating me with a cancer drug for the condition. It did seem to help a little. During a follow up visit with my doctor, he discovered I had developed a hernia in need of surgery and referred me to a surgeon. In consultation with the hernia doctor, he pulled my medical files and told me there was nothing he could do as he was unable to operate on me due to the cirrhosis of the liver.
It was about a week later I went in for another follow up with my doctor. He was incredibly shocked and very concerned at the swelling in my abdomen and the rapid deterioration in my condition. Immediately he sent me back to the hospital. Later he told me he was not sure I would survive even through the weekend.
At the hospital they extracted 18 liters of fluid out of my abdomen, caused by the swelling from the cirrhosis. Then I was released to go home. Then three weeks later, I returned to the hospital again to have another 17 liters removed from the same area. A couple of months later, I started not being able to breathe, and had to go right back into the ER. My right lung was filling with water, and they removed 1 liter of fluid from it. From the first hospital stay over the next three months I continued to lose weight. I started out at 255, and was down to 200 pounds.
During all this time, glory to God, I experienced no pain with this condition. The doctors asked me if I was in pain and were all in amazement when I told them, “no, not at all.” In many of William Branham’s messages he says, do not fear and when the doctor says there is no hope, have faith. (52-0715 Faith in the Son of God). I held dearly onto this, and onto a pamphlet that he wrote called, “Do you fear Cancer?”. With my hand over my heart, I never once accepted fear, instead I began testifying every day that I was healed. My body began to obey my testimony, but I felt I needed a supercharge of the Lord’s healing power.
I am blessed to have attended five of William Branham’s meetings in person, almost 65 years ago to this day. In one meeting on June 10,1960, I was privileged to witness firsthand the discernment and healing of a lady dying with cancer as she laid on a little cot. I have never seen another human being in such a desperate condition. During this meeting William Branham preached a message to the crowd, and afterward he had a healing line to pray for the sick. Once he was finished praying for the sick, he started to leave the platform. Then suddenly, he looked toward where I was sitting with my parents, which happened to be in the same direction as the lady lying on the cot. He then told her what was wrong with her and that she was healed. At that moment she rose up under the power of God and stood up upon two legs that were just skin and bones. This event was recorded on tape and is available today for anyone to hear. It can be found on YouTube among other places, it is called, “The Rejected King (60-0610) held in Chautauqua, Ohio USA.
The memory of that healing has been with me all my life. It has caused me to have faith in our Lord for healing and I knew Jesus was the same today. For around 30 years now I have attended Happy valley Church. Donny Reagan is our pastor and likes to play the guitar on the platform when not preaching. On a Wednesday night service, he asked if I would take over for him on the guitar during the worship time. He also requested Evangelist Darrell Ward to preach that evening.
During the service, I was feeling so very sick and weak I was hardly able to sit up in my chair. Brother Darrell finished his sermon and after the service many people came forward for healing. I wanted to go up for healing prayer so badly but felt too weak to stand and could not get up to go over there. Remembering the healing I saw in William Branham’s meeting, I began to pray saying, “I don’t have to go over there Lord Jesus, you can send him to me.” God still discerns the hearts of people today. I have claimed this for years not knowing I would experience it firsthand. Again, I prayed to God saying, Lord I don’t have to be there; you can send Brother Darrell to me. God immediately answered my prayer!
Just as Brother Darrell had prayed for the last person, he picked up his coat, laid it across his arm and proceeded to leave the platform. Then he stopped and looked at me as though he was just seeing me for the first time. I didn’t motion to him or make a move. He turned and came straight over to me. He placed his hand on my left shoulder and began to pray a short prayer of healing over me. From that time forward I began to feel like I had never been sick. I have known Brother Darrell for more than 30 years and have great faith in his ability to touch the throne of God. He has helped so many by his preaching and is a great ambassador for heaven. He is a man of impeccable character and I thank God for men like him who can yield themselves to God, for the people’s needs.
Through prayer and faith, by January 2023, my continued healing had progressed enough that I was able to return to work driving a school bus. I was still feeling weak and had low energy at times, but I continued to testify of my healing. At this time, two years have gone by since my affliction began. By medical standards, I should be dead. Not only has God supernaturally healed me from my symptoms but what is perhaps the most miraculous part of all, the last MRI still showed the condition was there! Regardless of the medical evidence, I have experienced no pain and I have no symptoms. I am back up to 225 pounds, and the doctors don’t understand how with my liver I can gain weight.
No matter what the doctor tells you in a situation, even if it is a sentence of death they pronounce over you, do not fear. Take God at His word.
It is by His grace I am alive today to testify to this. Praise the Lord!
Bobby Hayton
It all started with a small black mole behind my left ear. I was always trying to hide it. I never wanted people to see it. When they did, comments were made of getting it cut off. But I’ve always believed God is my healer. It went from being the size of a penny to the size of a quarter. This is when someone told me it could be cancer. I do not like to go to a medical doctor. I started praying for the Lord to take it away. One evening it was really bothering me so I asked my husband to pray with me. I told him I felt like my skin had been plagued.
The next morning, I took my Bible and a cup of coffee out on my porch to have my morning reading. I had no particular place I was going to read, I just let my Bible open. It was like all the pages were black, but one scripture jumped out at me; Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. I read this over and over, rejoicing greatly for I knew I was healed! Jumping ahead 12 years later, I was stll holding on to my promise even though things started to get worse. Only a few people knew of my struggle. Brother Andrew Coressel prayed with me many times, encouraging me to have faith. One evening in church after the message, Brother Kidri Diggs prophesied over me telling me that God had heard my prayers and that God was on my side; that I had pressed through my doubts. And pressed through how Satan had been fighting me. He said three times that God was on my side. This greatly encouraged me to keep holding onto my promise. I spoke to Brother Diggs about what was going on and how I was being told it was cancer. He told me to hold onto my faith. He said, “The day you go to a doctor is the day you’ll have what they said!” This made my faith in God’s Word stronger. Many more things happened but I just kept reading my promise in God’s Word.
Then things changed. It grew so big it was pressing against my ear. It became so very sore that I couldn’t touch it. It would bleed if I rolled over on it in bed. At one point, I got out of bed to pray, not asking God to heal me but asking Him when. I was so desperate! All I could hear was a song, like it was being sung to me, “In God’s time, in His time. He makes all things beautiful, in His time.” I started praising the Lord. I knew He heard my cry and answered me. August 8, 2015, Brother Darrell Ward came to minister for us. I attend Brother Ray Ericson’s church in Blufon OH, True Word Tabernacle. At the end of the service people were going up for prayer. I knew I should go too. I was standing at my seat praying while Brother Ward was praying for someone else. I said, “Lord, I’ve asked for prayer so many times. I’d be ashamed to ask for prayer again.” At that very moment Brother Ward looked in my direction and said, “Christian friend, don’t ever say you would be ashamed to ask for prayer.” That was it! I went up for prayer, searching my heart to make sure there was nothing between me and Jesus; that all things were made right; nothing to hinder my healing. By the time Brother Ward leaned down to me for my request I could barely speak, my heart was pounding so hard. I knew I was in the presence of the Lord! I don’t remember what I said to Brother Ward, but he understood. After prayer I was so weak I needed help to return to my seat. The next morning nothing had changed. Day two, things were the same. Day three I searched the message to find out all that was said about the third day, but things were the same. On the afternoon of the fourth day it became very itchy but it was still so very sore. With my thumb I rubbed the bottom of the area and a small piece came off. This happened a lot over the next few days until finally the entire thing was gone! Words could never express my thankfulness to the Lord. Brother David Siler was ministering at our church. I knew that him and Brother Ward were such good
friend so I went to him after service and asked him to tell Brother Ward it was gone. I will never stop praising my Lord for touching me. Prayer indeed changes things. Our Lord is faithful.
Cancer was the last thing on the mind of young Jonas Schumacher when he went to the doctor for a check up on some bruised ribs he got in a soccer game. The doctor felt around the area and told him his ribs were fine, but casually mentioned that his spleen was elevated, he should get that checked. Jonas thought nothing of it; he had always been healthy, but he still had some routine tests and blood work done.
So when the clinic called and told him he needed to go to the hospital RIGHT NOW, he was puzzled. He felt just fine. But his white blood cell count was at 120,000 units when 5 to 10,000 is normal. These high levels usually meant there was some form of cancer in the blood. All Jonas’ plans changed at that moment. He was urged to go directly to the hospital, but he went home until the next day.
He began reading the Bible, and immediately felt at peace. His family and church began praying for him. Jonas spent 10 days in the hospital, and was diagnosed with CML, a type of Leukemia based on a defective chromosome. His condition was chronic, but if not treated soon enough, it would turn from chronic to acute, at which point there would be no medical hope. He was prescribed treatment by chemotherapy, through pills. The bump in the ribs was the first miracle, allowing the cancer to be discovered in time, and it turned out there was nothing wrong with his spleen.
The medication had about a 50 percent chance of working, but a side-effect of severe itching over his whole body developed, which was intolerable. The cancer was invisible, but the itching was right out in the open. Jonas asked a minister to pray for the itching to stop, and it stopped immediately. That gave Jonas faith to believe that God would heal the cancer also. The treatment began working and eventually, all his levels went back to normal. The whole ordeal took
2 1/2 years.
Jonas testifies that he experienced God’s healing in two different ways: instantaneous miraculous healing, which stopped the itching—and medical treatment over time, which cured the cancer.
God heals through medicine as well as through prayers, and prayers can help the medicine to work.
On December 29, 2023, we noticed a “swelling” on our daughter Mikaela’s inner thigh. Right away I thought it didn’t look good and took her to the walk-in clinic. They examined her and since she was healthy and had no other symptoms, the doctors were positive and reassuring. However, they wanted to do an ultrasound.
New Year's weekend was coming up and I called to schedule the ultrasound. It was scheduled for Tuesday, January 2, 2024. The entire weekend became very emotional for me as I was fearing the worst. I had asked some of the sisters at church to pray for good results and that the Ultrasound would show everything was fine.
I fasted and in distress I cried out to the Lord, praying that Mikaela’s ultrasound results would show everything was ok.
They put a priority on her ultrasound and about 2 to 3 hours afterward they called with the results. They said it was a malignancy and that I needed to take her to the Seattle Children’s ER right away. I was in a daze. Thank goodness my mom was there, and she helped me to pack and called our pastor to come pray for us before we left.
Our wonderful pastor came within a couple of hours and said a sincere prayer for our family and Mikaela. After he finished praying, he told us to not have any anxiety about it. His words were very comforting and gave me strength from that point on.
It was a long night, as they first did bloodwork and said that everything looked good with her blood results. Next, they did an MRI and afterward they sat us down and spoke to us. They said that they were concerned, as the results of the MRI showed it to likely be cancer. Everyone at the hospital was kind and compassionate. However, it was a lot to take in and was very overwhelming.
The doctor said the next step was to do a biopsy and then took her to a room for the night on the “cancer and blood disease” floor. It was a place I thought I would never be. We didn’t sleep much, and the next morning Mikaela was prepped for the procedure. She had been very brave up to that point with all the needles and MRI, though she was terrified of not being able to have us there while she had surgery. It was a hard moment and I prayed that I would not experience any more moments like that.
After the surgery, the doctors told us that all her initial tests on the tissue did not show anything. At that point they said no news was good news. They informed me they were going to send the tissue to the lab, and we would get the results within a week.
A few hours later, we were discharged. That night we put in a prayer request at church and for the congregation to pray for Mikaela's healing. As we waited for 8 to 9 days for the results, I felt at peace.
I knew we would get through whatever God would allow to happen. I prayed that she would not have to endure any radiation or chemo and prayed that it be the Lord’s will Mikaela would not have cancer.
When the doctors called with the results, they said the findings found no cancer at all! I cried and thanked the Lord. When I first got the initial ultrasound results, it felt like a nightmare. When we got the answer from the results, it felt like a wonderful dream.
God is so good, and we are so thankful for all He has done for us.
In this book, we tell the happy endings of some marvelous stories, but in this chapter, we share a work in progress. Pastor and evangelist Ron Spencer has experienced a number of dramatic healings in his own life. He is, in fact, a walking miracle. His prayers have also been used by God to heal many. Now Ron has been attacked with cancer, and has been defying all the prognostications for going on two years. Here is one excerpt from a sermon he preached on July 30, 2022 titled, “In a Mess”:
“We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing ground, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills, we shall NEVER SURRENDER!! We will fight for our families, We will fight for our children, we will fight for our healing, we will fight for our deliverance, we will fight for our joy, we will fight for our peace, we will fight for the Holy Ghost! We will fight until our bodies are changed, we will fight till we are sitting at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb!”
This passage perfectly sums up the tenacious spirit and bulldog faith that God has placed within the heart of Rev. Ron Spencer, who has been defeating stage four metastatic cancer since December of 2020. As he continually states, “I will NEVER quit or surrender!” While the avenger is on his path daily, God’s servant and pastor of a thriving church in Virginia entered the city of refuge many years ago. As Ron often states, “While Satan decided that he would bombard my body with cancer, he couldn’t do it unless he first got permission from God.”
Prior to his diagnosis of cancer, the Lord spoke these words to his heart, “If you will trust me, I’ll use you like never before.” In December of 2020, he was given only four months to live. This was his physician’s diagnosis, but God had a different report. Today, going on two years later, Ron Spencer continues to preach with more fire than ever, tearing down Satan's kingdom and astonishing medical science. His message is still the same as it has been for decades, God still saves, and God still heals. Jesus Christ is the SAME, yesterday, TODAY, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
Currently, Ron has multiple brain tumors, his lungs are full of cancer, and it has metastasized to his lymph nodes. Additionally, it has affected several different organs and destroyed his pancreas and adrenal glands. He takes chemotherapy two times a day and about 20 other supportive drugs. He continues to endure repeated brain surgeries, eight shots a day, numerous invasive tests, seizures, severe nausea and vomiting, and pain, with never a day off. Yet, even his physicians have to give glory to God and say, “he is a walking miracle,” as hundreds of their other patients have passed away while Ron has lived on. There is no other explanation but God. Ron Spencer appears perfectly healthy outwardly, and he preaches with the strength and breath of his youth!
“No matter how big your Goliath is, a small rock in the hand of faith will fly with supersonic speed and bring him crashing to his knees in defeat,” Ron reminds us.
We all have an appointed time to die, but this soldier of the cross will not go quietly into the night. He is a warrior and a living testimony, a Time-Tested Memorial that we serve a living God who still heals!
